If you’re feeling like you are getting bored of doing house chores and you’d rather be racing then check this out:
Round One of the 2012 United Travel Series kicks off at Manfeild on June 3.
As the most successful series of its type in NZ, the United Travel Race Series (formerly the Manfeild Winter Series) has 5 main classes:
- GT Cup (saloons 1:23 and faster)
- IB Cup (saloons 1:23 – 1:32)
- RS Cup (1:32 and slower)
- NZ Refrigeration Classics
- Formula First / Libre (open wheel + sports cars)
The organisers say that the Formula Libre Class will have Formula Vee, Formula Ford and some Lotus-7 cars.
New to this year’s series is the MX5 cup, which will take place within the RS cup grid and the European Cup (any european cars).
Also joining the series during the 2012 series are the NZ Superkarts at Round 1 and the Honda Cup at Round 3.
